Cray's 30 years of experience in integrating diverse data center technologies provides the basis for project management and integration services in today's multi-vendor storage environments. Cray Technical Services can manage your storage procurement process as an independent consultant, coordinate multiple vendors to integrate a storage solution or manage an appliance-based data migration. Cray can also supply, install and integrate storage systems built on industry-leading technologies. These include:

LSI Corp. Mid-range FC and iSCSI storage arrays, with enterprise-class data protection features and excellent performance and price/performance.

BlueArc NAS High performance Titan network storage systems for enterprise and data intensive environments. The newly expanded BlueArc product line now offers flexible storage tiering options.

Cray Survivor High performance storage with innovative packaging and self-healing technology for lights-out, low-service-touch operation and new data protection solutions.

Data Protection
Cray includes both analysis and implementation services to address all aspects of data protection including backup, recovery, archiving, replication and data encryption. This comprehensive approach to data protection reviews the customer's business requirements, analyzes risks to data, presents alternative approaches and implements the customer strategy in a robust and cost effective solution.

For virtual tape technology, Cray Technical Services provides the innovative MAID-based Revolution products of COPAN Systems. The uniquely architected COPAN Enhanced MAID platform is purpose built for massive data repositories. With unmatched scalability, density and power efficiency, COPAN solutions drastically reduce the cost and complexity of vaulting and managing data in large scale environments.
For data encryption, Cray Technical Services focuses on deploying the products of Cipher Max, Inc. to provide enterprise class data security solutions. Cipher Max systems provide line-speed encryption of data on tape, disk and VTL and scale readily for high port count environments. Cipher Max offers an innovative, fabric-aware architecture that deploys easily into existing environments, with advanced key management and a single, global interface for SAN and security administration.

Performance Optimization
Cray draws on its experience in high performance I/O and data storage to provide configuration analysis, assessment and tuning services for storage customers in both research and commercial environments. Cray I/O and storage experts bring a vendor-independent perspective to help customers optimize their storage architecture and tune storage resources to meet application and business requirements. One of the performance tools used by Cray in open systems environments is the well-known Tek-Tools Profiler. For customers who choose to use Profiler on an ongoing basis, Cray is an authorized Tek-Tools reseller.
